El Cip

It's a mouthful in more ways than one.

Its real name is Marqués de la Villa Tinta De Toro Juan Nepomuceno Gasset y Ortega de la Costa de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr los Alamos, but you can call it Marqués de la Villa Tinta De Toro.

You could also call it Tempranillo, but where's the fun in that? Tinta De Toro ("tint of bull") is so much more colorful and exotic. Especially this 2012 vintage from Marqués de la Villa: as red as a matador's cape, as fruity as a sun-splashed berry orchard. Yes, its name is long. But a wine as seductive as the Marqués de la Villa Tinta De Toro needs at least eleven syllables in its name, just to capture all that passion.
