Macrae Family Winery was founded to create ultra premium wines from two of the best viticulture areas in the world, Napa and Sonoma. Russian River wine has developed an international reputation for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Along the Sonoma Russian River there are famous vineyards like Bacigalupi Vineyard known for growing the finest Pinot and Chardonnay. The River provides for warm days and cool nights as the fog rolls in allowing for the best natural growing environment for these fruits.

David Macrae (UC Davis) founded the winery to develop limited production wines that reflect the best winemaking skills from the top quality growers in the region. The wines are tasted and tested frequently to ensure their quality and then bottled as single vineyard designate wines reflecting the best of Russian River Bacigalupi and Napa Valley Stagecoach Vineyards. The wines are produced in limited quantities.
