twist ending!!!

What would rosé?

hahahahaha but srsly.

Historians say the first wine ever produced might've been a rosé. What happened, according to definitely real scholars, was the Greeks were hanging out eating a pretty zesty curry, and then Autocrates was all, "Verily dude, one would give his toga for a beverage with crisp acidity and smooth mouthfeel. Euclid! Ticidas! What shall we do to quell this figurative and literal thirst?"

And Euclid was like, "I dunno. I'm really what you'd call an 'idea man'. What if we stomped all over something to obtain its delicious liquids?"

"I like where this is going," Autocrates replied. (You may have noticed that the Greeks stopped talking like Greeks because the, uh, scholars hadn't taken a Greek lit class in about ten years.)

"Yeah, we could stomp all over - "

"NUDITY!" Exclaimed Ticidas, a noted erotic poet with nothing useful to contribute.

"Too abstract. What about beans?" Autocrates offered.

"Do we have beans? Do we know what beans are? What year is it?" Euclid, like the, um, scholars, was confused about the chronology of history.

Autocrates sighed, "This is getting way too complicated. Why don't I just crack open this bottle of Lucas and Lewellen Rosé of Pinot Noir while we sort this out?"

"That sounds delicious," Euclid said, "You grab it from the Vinotemp and I'll go get the Rabbit."

The end.

Features

From the Lucas & Lewellen vineyards in Santa Barbara County, Louis Lucas selects choice lots for a limited production of premium wines. Attention to detail in the vineyards yields superior quality grapes from which Megan McGrath Gates crafts award winning wines. The vineyards of Lucas & Lewellen are located in the three principal wine grape growing regions of Santa Barbara County: the Santa Maria Valley, the Los Alamos Valley, and the Santa Ynez Valley. These valleys all run west from the coastal mountains to the Pacific Ocean, allowing warm days and cool nights to produce a long, gentle growing season.

2013 Rose of Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County 750ml 6-Pack

This stylish wine is a blend of selected lots from two of our estate vineyards which include four distinct clones; some old California and some more recent importations from Burgundy. The grapes were crushed directly into the press and only the free run and lightest press fractions went into this wine. The wine is complex with layers of strawberry crème, raspberry and peach, floral notes of white blossoms and a fruity core of red berries. It is brilliant with crisp acidity and a smooth mouth feel.

Vineyard Notes: The Los Alamos Vineyard is a cool climate vineyard in the Santa Barbara County AVA. Stretching for over a mile of Highway 101 frontage just south of the town of Los Alamos, these vineyards are home to 20 varieties of grapes, representing the principal varieties of the Rhone, Burgundy and Bordeaux regions of France, as well as Italian varieties. With some of the vines planted from cuttings brought from Europe over 35 years ago, these vineyards have long been a favorite source for many of California's best wineries.
