2010 Iron Horse Rainbow Cuvée 750ml 2-Pack
Iron Horse celebrates diversity with this "classic" blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, a traditional and elegant showcase of the 2010 vintage, with over three years on the yeast. Our family tradition is to make a wish on every rainbow.
By Nose: rising dough, orange marmalade and baked apple.
By Mouth: ripe red apple, mandarin orange and hazelnut.
Winemaker Notes: What makes this cuvee unique is the dosage, 22 mls of a LEX (liquor d'expedition) made from barrel fermented Rued Chardonnay and 10 mls of a pre-fermentation maceration Pinot Noir picked at sparkling Brix 21, allowed ot sit on the skins for color and bouquet.
