2011 Classic Vintage Brut 750ml

The 2011 Classic Vintage Brut is a ‘classic’ blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, a traditional and elegant showcase of the 2011 vintage, with over three years on the yeast. It is ‘brut’ level dry and vintage in every sense of the word. Rich, creamy and delicious with precise, pinpoint bubbles.

By nose:  rising dough, orange marmalade and baked apple.

By mouth: ripe red apple, mandarin orange and hazelnut.  Focused and complex, this is a beautiful sparkling with crispy pomme frittes with sea salt and black pepper, truffle popcorn, avocado and baby shrimp salad, bacon and watercress sandwich, wild mushroom tart, spaghetti with cream, parmesan and crispy onions, roast duckling with citrus.

2011 Russian Cuvee 750ml

Russian Cuvée commemorates the style of sparklings we made for the historic Reagan - Gorbachev summit meetings, which ended the Cold War. This is the richest of the Iron Horse Sparklings, yet still technically brut level dry. An ideal toasting wine, it has been served at the White House for five consecutive presidential administrations.

By nose: caramel apple, nutmeg and orange zest.

By mouth: ripe red apple, lime, brioche and brown sugar. This is a perfect toasting wine. It is lovely with dessert, especially lemon tart, strawberry pie and anything to do with ginger and spice.

2011 Brut X 750ml

The Brut X is extremely dry, extremely bright and extremely expressive.  This is the kind of bubbly you can drink all night long.

By nose: raspberry, custard and hazelnut

By mouth: lime, honeysuckle and nectarine.

Food Pairing Notes: Harmonious and sleekly structured, this bubbly pairs beautifully with oysters, fried shrimp and Jamaican food. An excellent choice for tamales, chili, guacamole and chips.
