Features

2007 Vignoles Late Harvest, 375ml

Hunt Wines' Late Harvest Vignoles is a seductively sweet after-dinner white wine that bursts with fresh citrus and exotic fruit flavors.  In ideal ripening years Hunt Wines' gamble by delaying harvest of their Vignoles grapes, hoping for late development of the noble fungus botrytis cinerea. Botrytis shrivels and desiccates the grapes on the vine, intensifying their natural sugars and flavors. After carefully controlled cold fermentation, the result is a seductively sweet white wine in the Sauternes and Beerenauslese traditions with hints of fresh citrus and exotic fruits. Their Late Harvest Vignoles wines have won 15 Gold medals in prestigious competitions since 2004, and have been featured in FOOD&WINE magazine. Savor a glass by itself, with cherry or apple pies and tarts, or with Asian dishes with a touch of sweetness. Serve chilled. A bottle serves approximately four 3-ounce glasses.

2007 Vidal Blanc Ice Wine 375ml

Hunt Wines' marquee wine, featured on NBC's Today Show, Vidal Blanc Ice Wine is a rare and lusciously sweet after-dinner wine with rich honey, apricot and exotic fruit flavors.  This Vidal Blanc Ice Wine has been served at the United Nations, ordered by the White House and featured on NBC's Today. In the 1980s, Art and Joyce Hunt became the first producers of genuine ice wine in the United States, and it remains their marquee wine today. Hunt Wines' specially-chosen Vidal Blanc grapes are left on the vine through the normal harvest period, allowing them to develop further complexity of flavors and sweetness. If the grapes are able to survive this period through successive cycles of frost, light freezing and Indian summer, they wait for a cold front that can deliver an extended period of 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit. At that temperature, the water molecules that make up most of the grape freeze, but the rest (which provides the flavor) does not. The grapes are hand-picked at this temperature and pressed frozen to produce a trickle of golden nectar. Slow fermentation at cool temperatures yields this rare and lusciously sweet wine that bursts with honey, apricot and exotic fruit flavors. Serve well chilled on its own, or with a wide variety of desserts, as a grand finale to a fine meal. A bottle serves approximately four 3-ounce glasses.

Cream Sherry, 500ml

Relax after a long day's work with a glass of Hunt Wines' Cream Sherry, a delicious blended wine with hints of raisins, nuts and caramel, and fortified with 100% grape brandy.  Cream Sherry has been a Hunt family favorite for generations, a perfect drink for relaxation before or after a nice meal. The foundation of our Cream Sherry is a blend of Riesling, Chardonnay and lightly oaked Cabernet Sauvignon wines. They then bubble oxygen through the blend for a month or more to produce the beautiful "darker" flavors of raisin, nut and caramel. Finally the wine fortified with pure grape distilled spirits to achieve the perfect balance between these flavors, sweetness, tartness and alcohol. Serve at cool room temperature or lightly chilled. Enjoy a glass by itself, with sharp cheeses and desserts, or as an ingredient in soups, stews and sauces.

2010 Valvin Muscat 750ml

The Valvin Muscat grape — a complex French-American hybrid developed at Cornell University in the 1960s — has a long and distinguished ancestry. The Muscat (or Moscato) is believed to be one of the oldest families of domesticated grapes in the world, having been cultivated in Mesopotamia and the Nile Valley as long ago as 3000 B.C. Muscat wines are prized for their fragrant floral character, and this Valvin Muscat from grapes grown on Hunt Wines' farm has a gorgeous orange blossom aroma, a hint of sweetness and a long, luxurious finish.

  • GOLD: 2012 Tasters Guild International Wine Competition

2010 Pinot Gris 750ml

Hunt Wines' dry and refreshing Pinot Gris exhibits delicate fruit flavors and crisp mineral notes.  Savor a glass on its own, with smoked salmon, scallops, shrimp, mild cheeses, and light poultry and pasta dishes. The French term Pinot Gris refers to the same grape that Italians call Pinot Grigio. Pinot Grigio wines are often lighter, fruitier and occasionally sweeter than their French counterparts. Hunt Wines produce their Pinot Gris in the more austere French style, to emphasize their grapes' natural mineral and floral aromas and flavors. Savor a glass on its own, with smoked salmon, scallops, shrimp, mild cheeses, and light poultry and pasta dishes. Serve chilled.

Dolce di Moscato 750ml

Bring sunshine to your senses with this semi-sweet white wine with lush fruit flavors and a heady bouquet of orange blossoms.  Perfect for relaxing with friends, as an aperitif, or with spicy dishes.  Serve chilled.
