Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.
Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.
What can be said about this wine except that it is quintessential Cabernet Sauvignon. Leather, tobacco, cigar box and black cherry on the nose. Deep ruby in color and flavors of cassis, dried roses, sandalwood, smoldering incense and black licorice float over your mouth. At the same time, this wine is angular and juicy with phenomenal acidity. If you don’t crave a huge juicy steak while drinking this wine, we’d be very surprised.
2009 Eastern Approach Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley 750ml
This wine displays a bright garnet color with aromas of spiced cherry, clove and nutmeg. The vegetal element, often associated with Cabernet Franc, has mellowed with age to leave a seductively smooth wine with glowing acidity and a long finish.
2010 Eastern Approach Red Wine, Columbia Valley 750ml
Filled with baking spice and candied fruit aromas, this right bank Bordeaux-style blend has fabulous acidity, great balance, firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Notes of cranberry and nutmeg remind you of a holiday feast and would pair very well with turkey, duck or your favorite game fowl. 2010 was a nice cool vintage for Washington and this wine is very representative of that. You can just taste the vintage.
2009 West Fork Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley 750ml
Beautiful aromas of floral bouquets pour out of the bottle immediately after opening. Lavender, violet and rose petal just to name a few along with boysenberry, blueberry and herbs de Provence. This wine is round on the palate and shows incredible balance.
2010 West Fork Red Wine, Walla Walla Valley 750ml
This left bank Bordeaux-style blend shows hints of rhubarb, green pepper and saddle leather on the nose. The palate gives us bright acidity and pomegranate, silty earth minerals and roasted berries. The wine continues to evolve after opening for several hours and will complement hearty Mediterranean fare quite nicely.
Fjellene Cellars is dedicated to crafting distinct, varietal-specific wines from Washington State with sustainability in mind. It is our mission to create elegant, approachable, food-friendly wines while delivering back to the earth. Pumice and stems are reduced to compost by local farmers; our lees are recycled into secondary, useable products; local craftsmen transform barrels over six-years-old into works of art; and natural cork closures are used on all our wines. We are continuing our efforts by actively researching ways to incorporate local, post-consumer glass into our packaging.
We are a family-owned, family-operated winery that specializes in small, vineyard-designate lots. This allows us to concentrate on quality, terroir, and varietal.
Thank you for drinking Fjellene wines. Skål

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk.
We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
