This offer includes TWO of the following, selected at random.
2007 Expression 44° Pinot Noir Eola-Amity Hills
Winemaking began with cluster sorting and destemming, after which secondarily sorted whole berries underwent a prolonged cold soak, followed by gentle fermentation in small batches. The resulting wine lots demonstrated diverse personalities based on vineyard sites and clonal diversity; these qualities revealed themselves further during 11 months of barrel aging in French oak barrels. Reductive winemaking techniques helped further define and sculpt these wines. The final blend is representative of the spirit of the AVA, with complex earthy aromas and flavors, minerality and plush textured mouth feel.
2007 Pinot Noir, Zena Crown Vineyard
The Pinot Noir at Zena Crown Vineyard ripened to perfection during the warm seasonal growing conditions of the 2007 vintage. Following harvest in the cooler hours of the morning, the fruit was gently sorted and destemmed without crushing. Whole sorted berries then underwent prolonged cold soak, followed by gentle fermentation in small batches. The resulting wine was dense and deeply colored. Eleven months of reductive élevage in French oak barrels enhanced the breed and tempered the youthful brashness of the wine. This personality-driven blend shows great intensity of fruit together with fantastic weight and density in the mouth.
2007 Pinot Noir, Roserock Vineyard
The warm 2007 growing season at Roserock Vineyard produced pristine clusters of Pinot Noir. After de-stemming, the whole berry fruit underwent a prolonged cold soak, followed by gentle fermentation in small batches. The resulting wine demonstrated exotic primary aromas which were then enhanced by 11 months of barrel aging in French oak barrels, one third new. Reductive winemaking techniques preserved the delicacy and precision of the wine. This stunning cuvée is marked by a regal combination of pure fruit and sous bois flavors together with a balanced acidity and ripe, supple mouthfeel.
