LARP It Up
Now then, how can I help you? I see, so you’ve all been traveling together for quite some time and want to stock up on some truly magical items. Well, you’ve certainly come to the right place! Let’s see if I can find something special for you. Oh, and Miss? Please do be careful with your cape. I’d hate for you to accidentally knock something to the floor.
So, are you looking for anything specific? Merlot, maybe, or a Cabernet? Hmm. “Potion of Healing,” you say? Is that a fairly new wine? Uh huh. No, we’ve never ordered anything from a place called “Mystic’s” or “Wizard’s.” I do, however, have a great deal on a three-pack of Domenico Amador County Cal-Italia wines today, if you’re interested. The finest California grapes blended with Italian tradition in mind make for quite a restorative experience after a long day of… doing whatever it is you folks do in that plastic stuff you’re wearing.
This 2006 Domenico Amador County Aglianico, for example, with its firm tannins, high acidity and a long-drying finish may be of interest to you. The aromas and flavors of black currant would go wonderfully with any rich meaty meal you might be having, whether it's lamb or heavily marbled rib eye.
Uh, well, you know, I’m not sure that anyone has ever mentioned… How did you say that? Wyvern? Yeah, I think they left that delicacy out of the tasting notes. But if you’re barbequing the Wee… Uh, the thing you previously mentioned, the 2007 Domenico Amador County Barbera will pair splendidly. Its medium-body, aromas of cherry cola, flavors of toasty oak, supple tannins and high acidity should complement it well. No, sir, it will not give you cat-like stealth. In fact, too much may make you clumsier. And please do be mindful of have you wave that staff of yours around.
And last, but not least, the 2007 Domenico Amador County Primitivo. Rich, concentrated, and full bodied, its various flavors of ripe black fruit, blackberries, cocoa, plum, spice, black licorice, tobacco and red cherries provide a true adventure for your palate.
Ah, there we go! You folks are plenty interested in adventure, are you? That’s great! Let’s just get you all rung up at the counter, shall we? Hmm. You don’t have anything smaller do you? I’m afraid we don’t take gold pieces here.
