Features

Pomegranate Wine 500ml

Chaucer's is reintroducing their Pomegranate wine. Sourced from orchards in the southern San Joaquin Valley, the fruit is delicately pressed without macerating the rinds or seeds. This brilliant, ruby colored wine displays a silky elegance in the flavor profile, punctuated by its spunky acidic backbone.

Blackberry Wine 500ml

Chaucer's Blackberry Wine is made from 100% pure, fresh, blackberry varieties. The wine is made straight from the berries; they do not make it from blackberry juice that was made by someone else. The berries are fresh and fermented to dry. Right before bottling fresh juice is added back in to help with the sweetness and the fresh blackberry aroma. Dark, rich, berry aromas leap from the glass while the flavors are reminiscent of Grandmother's blackberry pie, if it was to be served in liquid form. This wine is always a pleasure to be enjoyed with friends and family.

Raspberry Wine 500ml

Chaucer's Raspberry Wine is produced utilizing whole fruit without the addition of artificial flavorings, concentrates or artificial colorings. Even though greater production difficulties ensue because of whole fruit fermentations, the intensity of flavor generated through this technique is worth the effort.

Raspberry Mead 500ml

The flavor of this wine explodes with raspberry and honeysuckle. The wine is a blend of Chaucer's Mead and a small portion of their Raspberry Wine. Less sweet than their regular Mead, this wine finishes with a lingering crisp raspberry and honeysuckle impression. A blend of honey wine and fruit such as raspberry is known as Melomel. This blend of fruit and honey has been enjoyed for centuries.

Although this wine exhibits richness similar to a fine liqueur, this dessert-style beverage is not fortified and contains only 10% alcohol. To enjoy the full qualities of this wine, it should be consumed shortly after purchase.

Pairing Suggestions:

  • Enjoy with dried fruits and nuts
  • Great with chocolate mousse and other chocolate desserts

Apricot Wine 500ml

Chaucer's Apricot Wine transforms golden rays of sunshine into edible fruit, the juicy aromas of this ripe apricot wine will take you back into a midsummer's dream. Youthful, rich and golden, pair this mouthwatering wine with the finest of cheeses as the perfect aperitif.

Chaucer's Mead 750ml

Take a step back in time and enjoy the flavors of this popular Medieval Elixir. This Mead is made with similar recipes used in Medieval Times. Chaucer’s Mead uses 100% pure honey composed of a blend of three types; orange, alfalfa and sage. Each of these components brings a unique quality to the blend and contributes to the overall complexity of the wine. Orange adds a pungent orange blossom flavor and has light color. Alfalfa is neutral in flavor but yields a dark, amber color. Sage, on the other hand, has a mild taste and a light color.

Enjoy chilled or with our hot spices.  Served cold, it’s a dessert all on its own. Using the spice bag, serve warm as a hot spiced mead to enjoy the cinnamon, orange peel and clove flavors. Although this wine exhibits richness similar to a fine liqueur, it is not fortified and contains only 11% alcohol. To enjoy the full qualities of this wine, it should be consumed shortly after purchase.

Pairing Suggestions

  • Serve warm with spices or cold for a summer sipper
  • Enjoy with dried fruits and nuts
  • Serve alongside a pear tart or desserts prepared with nuts
  • Enjoy with some cheeses having a strong taste (blue or aged cheeses)
