This nostalgic blend of creamy peanut butter and silky milk chocolate has always been a timeless favorite. Handmade one layer at a time and topped with a dash of Fleur de Sel transforms this classic piece into a decadently delicious, truly grown up treat.
Ingredients: Milk Chocolate (sugar, chocolate liquor, milk, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanillin - an artificial flavor), Peanut Butter Chips (partially defatted peanuts, sugar, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (palm kernel and soybean oil), reduced minerals whey (milk), dextrose, salt, vanillin - an artificial flavor, soy lecithin), Creamy Peanut Butter (salted peanuts, sugar, hydrogenated vegetable oil (rapeseed, cottonseed and soybean) salt), Fleur de Sel.

In 1934 The Candy Basket Inc. opened its doors, hand making delicious chocolate confections to delight its local communities. Several generations and three factories later we have grown into a full line confectioner offering a wide variety of chocolates, toffees, brittles, fudges, corns, and jells. Our Pure & Simple line of products was created to bring people back to the basics. We use the best and highest quality ingredients to make our deliciously simple offerings. Pure flavors, natural ingredients, and simplicity are the basis for our very popular variety of fudges, drinking chocolate, brittles, and barks. It is our goal to bring our customers memories of grandma’s “Heavenly Divinity”, mom’s amazing “Red Velvet Cake (truffle)”, and the summer time treat we all enjoyed as kids, dreamy “Creamsicle Fudge”, of course…It’s all just Pure & Simple.
It was in 1999 that The Candy Basket merged with Shorthill Taffy Factory, another locally owned and operated candy manufacturer since 1914. Shorthill Taffy Factory boasts four generations of women manufacturing the finest quality and variety of salt water taffy in the world. From our basic best sellers, Red Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, Licorice Swirl, and Peppermint, to our more exotic flavors, Paradise Plum, Asian Pear, Maple Bacon, and Jalapeno, each batch is slow cooked in copper kettles and pulled to perfection. Every batch is made fresh to order!
The two companies are a match made in heaven, in and out of the work place! Not only was a successful year for business born, but love was in the air, and we don’t mean Valentine’s Day. The owner of The Candy Basket, Inc., Dale C. Fuhr proposed to the owner of Shorthill Taffy Factory, Kipi Doran in August of 2001. As their love continues to grow, so does business!
