2013 Cambridge & Sunset Zinfandel 750ml 6-Pack
Cambridge & Sunset Zinfandel is part of our California Series; a neighborhood wine, inspired by those who cam together to enhance our community. The classic California golden hill on this label are the backdrop of our lives as well as our viticultural areas; what better way to share this imagery than through the eyes of a local artist, Sonoma’s own Caroline Hipkiss.
Aromas of black cherry and licorice waft from this wine – it shows bright fruit characteristics. On the palate, flavors of baked plum and strawberry blend into a velvety, smooth mouth feel.
Food Pairing: Grilled fennel and pork sausage with roasted tomatoes and red peppers.
Vintage: Winegrowers and winemakers are touting the exceptional quality that was seen from the 2013 vintage. The harvest started slightly earlier than previous years, and the pace quickly sped up towards the end of August and throughout September, with an even ripening time between vineyards. This rapid pace allowed harvest to end for most around the last week in October, roughly two-to-three weeks earlier than normal seasons. After the bounty of 2012, many were skeptical whether or not Mother Nature would bestow kindness two years in a row, but that is what in-fact happened.
Region: Grapes for this wine were chosen from across California’s Sacramento – San Joaquin Delta Region, mostly from the Lodi appellation. In these areas, warm days are followed by cool evening breezes – this weather pattern along with the sandy soils of the Delta provide the perfect growing conditions for Zinfandel.

The Cunningham clan (Bruce & Kim) relocated to Novato California in 2004. Aussie born, these two have been intertwined with California’s wine industry for 20+ years. Our inaugural wine was bottled in 2006 under the Cambridge & Sunset label. These wines were made in honor of the folks who came to clean up a neighborhood and stayed to make a commitment to their community. We kept the grass-roots RNR movement (literally!) firmly in mind as we expanded our varieties, crafting an array of wines that people love to drink and share.
