Features
2007 Bernard Machado Pinot Noir 750ml 2-Pack
Light garnet/brick in color, with slight rim variation shows this wines age and influence of the Laurelwood soil upon which this vineyard is planted. Upon initial opening, this single vineyard Pinot Noir from La Cantera Vineyard exhibits the nose of a “classic/earthy/funky” Willamette Valley Pinot. With notes of dried herbs/leaves, wet earth, barnyard, cranberry and raspberry, this wine begs to be tasted. The elegant and complex palate leads with flavors of ripe pie cherries, raspberry bramble, strawberry leaf, cranberry, cocoa powder, graphite, and subtle dried herbs/flowers. Mineral and spice pull through the long, complex and silky finish, leading the palate back to the bright cherry of where it once began. This brilliant, sophisticated and elegant wine is able to age for a minimum of another 5-8 years.
