2014 Battle Creek Cellars Unconditional Pinot Noir, Oregon 750ml 3-Pack

The 2014 Unconditional Pinot Noir is a blend of all of our vineyard sources throughout Oregon with largest percentage coming from our Battle Creek Vineyard, with aromatics of blue and black fruits with just a hint of the vineyard’s signature herbaceous quality and these characteristics are carried onto the palate with some soft, but rich tannins as well as the natural, bright acidity that is another calling card of this special site.

The 2014 vintage in Willamette Valley was almost a pleasure to grow, ripen and harvest. The warmer than average spring influenced  bloom dates which were, on average, about 2 weeks earlier than usual and were followed by long stretches of warm, sunny days and very moderate nighttime lows which allowed the berries to fully develop and ripen evenly. The resulting wines have been in general well-balanced and transparent expressions of the site from which the grapes were sources without much need for adjustment or amelioration in the winery.

2014 Primarius Pinot Noir, Oregon 750ml 3-Pack

The 2014 Primarius Pinot Noir is a blend of all of our vineyard sources throughout Oregon and is representative of  one of Oregon’s greatest vintages. Aromatics suggest brambly cane berries and Bing cherries accented by some subtle notes of cinnamon and clove. The palate carries these aromas on and compliments them with lively acidity and just a hint of oak sweetness. The mouthfeel is a round and pleasant and yields some further depth suggesting Morello cherries and nutmeg. The finish lingers with soft, silky tannins and leaves an aftertaste of sweet red and black fruits and Christmas spice.
