Game On!
Oh sure, just as I'm getting ready to launch my new game show - Library Cab - Wine.Woot puts up this Ardente Estate Winery Library Cab sale. Ugh!
It was going to be awesome. First, the contestant would get into the cab and lights would go off. When the contestant totally freaked out with excitement he or she would be shushed by the driver, a professional librarian. The rest of the drive is then spent in silence as the passenger researched the topic of his or her choosing. The silence would only be broken for polite questions about database-searching techniques. Also, the cab would've been the size of bus to hold all the books and computers.
But now, with this 3-pack of from Ardente Estate Winery, everyone's gonna be all confused. It'll be like, "Are you talking about the show or the sampler of award-winning wines?"
Thanks, Wine.Woot... for RUINING MY LIFE!

2001 Ardente Cabernet Sauvignon, Atlas Peak, Napa Valley 750ml
Ardente Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark, ruby red wine of extraordinary complexity with sweet notes of chocolate, cassis and espresso roast along with supple tannins, full body and a fleshy, concentrated style. The selected grapes used in this wine were grown at Ardente vineyard off Atlas Peak Road in the Napa Valley, at an altitude of 1500 feet. The vinification was performed in 225-liter French oakwood barrels. The result yielded 840 cases of "unfiltered" Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
- 92 Points, Robert Parker
2002 Ardente Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak, Napa Valley 750ml
The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is a richly textured wine with intense, ripe flavors of black cherry, blackberry, plum and cassis. This full bodied wine is well-balanced with moderate tannins and a long, expansive finish. The harvest is intentionally delayed until the end of October to guarantee complete ripeness of the grapes. The resulting wine is then aged for eighteen months in French Oak barrels and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. The character and elegance of this Cabernet Sauvignon with its profound dark fruit intensity is then blended in complete harmony with the bursting cherry flavor of Ardente's merlot.
