Features
2009 Syrah Dry Creek Valley 750ml
Syrah is a special wine for Inspiration Vineyards. Made in the tradition of a Côte Rôte, the addition of Viognier brings out wonderful color and aromas in this wine. It definitely is one of their favorite wines to make and drink with food, especially lamb and beef.
Perhaps Inspiration Vineyards' deepest vintage to date, this wine has full-bodied tannins providing great aging potential for the next 8 to 10 years. Decanting is recommended if you plan to serve this wine during the first year after release. The nose is tight with notes of blackberry and chocolate. On the palate you’ll find rich blackberries, cedar, mocha and coffee.
2009 Syrah, Dry Creek Valley Reserve 750ml
This wine is very reminiscent of the central Rhône; one that is extremely food friendly and could very well take the place of Pinot Noir at your table. The Syrah provides a backbone of tannin, while the Grenache provides a softness allowing this wine to be enjoyed now or to age for many years. You’ll find the nose filled with berry flavors of strawberries and blackberries. While on the palette you’ll discover notes of strawberry, cedar, mocha and earth.
