Depending on time and location, it could work out. Hope so.

Wish I could but I could never get to Anaheim on a Wednesday after work

What time would work best?

Depends on her travel budget too.

There's The Reunion Kitchen in Anaheim Hills area that has no corkage for wines not on their list (Wellington, Clayhouse, and Scott Harvey are good).

But they are a bit pricy, and we'd have to take side streets, traffic being horrible then.

Or .... There's Bistro Bleu on S. Magnolia. No corkage on Wednesday dinners. Better traffic, but around same pricing it looks.

Or ... someplace else and craft beer after (Bruery or Bootleggers)?

Don't worry about my travel budget, I have a personal budget too. And I'm also flexible about Anahiem, I'm willing to go outside of that a bit, say 45 min to an hour

Reunion sounds good. I can make 7 direct from work, or 7:30 means I can go home first and get some wine. Any favorite makers/varietals?

edit: I'm not sure if SWMBO can make it, but I'm trying.

7:30 sounds fine. JL, what would you like?

Just make sure it's not on their Wine list.

Might be able to bring your Buena Vista wines.

So, We are on for Reunion Kitchen at 7:30 then? Any recommendations on where I might be able to pick up a decent bottle of wine in the area to bring along?

As far as I know it is. Sparky always runs late tho.

My favorite local wine store is Wine Exchange at 1544 East Warner Avenue, Santa Ana (just off the 55 freeway). Traffic will probably be an issue.

And there's always Costco.

Good to know about running late I'm typically early. I'll likely wing it on a place to buy along my route to the restaurant (I'm at the Anaheim Convention Center), or just buy something off the list there. Depending on how quickly the work I need to do after work goes.

You really don't have to worry about getting something. Sparky needs all of us to help him drink his wine. I bet he brings at least 3 bottles.

Not always, but tonight has changed into bad. Client computers are not cooperating.

Edit: You need to go to Hi-Time in Costa Mesa on 17th. Bigger and better. But Wine Exchange is nice too.

Well, I could meet you at the restaurant, or you could come to my place and meet the family, or we can just write it off and catch you next time.

Boo! We totally should have traded numbers ahead of time since Sparky got stuck reigning in bad computers.

Boo indeed!
I didn't even leave my office in West LA until 7:20 tonight. Wouldn't have made it to Anaheim until 8:45!
Let's try again next time you're in town!
