“In the entire world there are only a few sounds that bring joy to all but the most jaded. One is the murmur of a kitten purring. Another is the thwack of a well-pitched baseball hitting a perfectly swung bat. And the third is the pop of a cork being pulled from a bottle of wine.” —George Taber

At least three have purchased here from the April offering, and consumed; time for some notes.

Full-bodied and richly textured, this Chardonnay is strongly marked by its stay in French oak. Combined with a little bit of bottle age, the result is a wine that lacks a bit of vibrance but compensates with buttery, mushroomy complexity. Drink up.

Geeze, two years ago and it was "drink up"?! Would kinda like to know more about his palate given that review, but if I read WE more likely I would.
Wooters cabdale, dhjohnson, fullpour, what say you?

Richard Jennings in CT seemed to like but he used the word mature to describe it back in January. So it sounds like a nice aged chard at a good price.
