I couldn't find much at all in terms of tasting notes. Previous offer was apparently the first one, and the notes there were scant. Cellar Tracker shows no community tasting notes, and a "point" average of 82.8 -- which is essentially meaningless, given that it's an average of ONE user's four separate tastings (all 82 or 83). At least it's consistent, I guess.

Good move. Being mostly Merlot, you know the wife will like it (and I bet she will dig the label too) and you get to see if you might even like it yourself (since it's a blend with some Cab in it) with no risk plus brownie points from your better half. It's win-win!

I was just looking at the previous offer thread (thanks, Cesare!) and saw where the winemaker said that Cab and Zin drinkers tend to like it. I am tempted myself...

Ok, what does a silver medal mean at these competitions? Because I have seen "double gold" and "platinum" before too. So is silver 4th place out of 4 wines in that category or what? Just wondering here.

They have many, many medals to give.
Personally, I do not put too much attention to seemingly inflated awards.

Quote from the listing.

It could be a sleeper like the 2008 nola syrah all seeping from invino for $13. They claimed $30+ retail.

4 out of 6 so far corks were really soft and spongy. Portioners in the shipping box had leak marks, corks slightly elevated and foil had some wetness.

EDIT: Ah, you added an explanation.

btw. I am not an Invino member. do invite codes help both sides?

I can't parse it either, though that might be due to my current state of exhaustion.

Could be 2008-2009 had the some natural seeping corks. But prob only from the same bottler.

The nola syrah was still good 4 out of 6 so far.

Andreas, once you get your account established, I wouldn't mind getting an invite code from you in order to help out both of us
