I brought a bottle of the "Lot 321" California Field Blend with me to the Minnesota wine.woot gathering, but I'm not sure if anyone remembers this with any detail since we had been drinking a lot of wine that evening.

In general, Cameron Hughes is pretty decent wine and I've become a fan of it. I have yet to have a CH wine that I didn't like. It's a great everyday wine at $10/bottle. I definitely recommend giving this a try. I'm in for one just so I can try the Malbec and Zin.

Happy Birthday Cesare!

I haven't tried any of these specific wines but Cameron Hughes wines are already a bargain at retail prices, and an even better bargain with an additional wine.woot discount.

Cameron Hughes buys up excess wine from (mostly) high-end producers and bottles it under his own label, selling it at greatly reduced prices. A $20 Cameron Hughes wine is likely to be somebody else's $40-$50 wine.

For $10/bottle plus tax and shipping it's hard to go wrong with this deal.

Previous woot offer I went in on HERE for the Lot 291 and Lot 258 with lots of chatter and CH participation.

With about three cases in the cellar, I too find a place for CH when I just don't know what I want.

Cesare did snooze a bit on his B-day missing this, but it is his day..

Has anybody seen them at CostCo? If so - price point there?

Wow ! I bought the CH mixed red 6 last time for $45. Very significant increase. I realize two of the reds are different from the last offering but honestly, in my experience all CH wines are of similar quality. Most are good sub $10 everyday drinkers. For me, a good price point for theses would be around a c-note per case.

CH used to buy juice and bottle (or rebottle) it just as you describe. Good business. Good wine. Good prices. IIRC, he's now actually starting to make some of the wine himself or being more involved earlier in the process.

I wasn't even thinking about purchasing this, until I saw the blinking button. Stupid blinking button. OH well, can never have too much wine in the cellar, eh?

Only the Lot 291 is a repeat wine.
CH has price variations between their wines, not everything is $10 retail.
That being said, the same sampler was available on Groupon for $59 including shipping.

I feel like every time there's a wine I want to buy lately, it can't be shipped to VA. This never used to be the case, when everything shipped to VA. So depressing.

Hmmmmm....

I have had some great CH bottles (X00s and X50s) and some good ones. Last night we cracked open on of the bottles of the 321 California Blend. My wife and I had a debate whether the wine had gone bad or was just bad wine (it seemed too hot (taste, not temp)).

We tried and couldn't finish any of the three types (although several were reanimated as Sangria)...

Sadly disappointing. And I was so excited when Wine Woot first began...
