I'm nominating 5pm as the start time. (That should be after most of time2testit's day.)

Have the semolina flour for authentic pasta. Just need to get some regular flour and some eggs for Saturday. (And figure out a sauce.)

Besides pasta ingredients, I'll likely provide an Italian wine. But my main contribution booze-wise will be Madeira. I'm thinking of opening bottles representing four or five of the four major varietals.

I will bring the ingredients for my pasta sauce, I trust someone else will be making the pasta?? I have never made it before and don't want to ruin a meal

And I will bring a 2008 Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Rabajà

5pm works for us, can't wait!

So will there be a free food processor to make the pesto or should I bring it already made? Not sure what wine I'll bring yet either, but likely it'll go with pesto.

I've got nothing on my ledger for you. I've got stuff with cortot, merbill, and Ron in SoCal (and also Richard, if he ever makes an appearance). And a pile of stuff for/from Bay Area peoples.

Ty will be making Cacio e Pepe.
Klez has claimed pesto.
Anyone else claiming a food?

By the way, I've ended up with (right-handed) Shun 10" Chef's and 9" Slicing knives, that I'd like to sell at the woot prices. So if anyone is interested...

Definitely maybe...I've been thinking about getting those for myself, but the left handed variants sound like they're worth a look also.

We're going to pick up pesto ingredients on our way down and occupy a food processor for 20 minutes to make it. And maybe a toaster/oven for a few minutes also for toasting the nuts.

Molarchae might also make a dessert...we'll see. I guess I should also find a wine to bring?

One more request: If anyone can bring decanters to use to the evening, that would be kind. Madeira needs to breathe a bit. (The rule of thumb is to decant it one day for each ten years it's been in bottle.)

I pulled a cork on a So-be-it last night and had a small taste, so I'll be bringing up a nearly full bottle for those that may want to try-before-you-buy (more).
And a Milagro Farm Aleatico Dessert from Ramona here near SD.

Also some Eastburns, Crushers, PWW and gotta check the locker for the SH Zin...

And I'll bring the Ar tank as well, just in case there are left-overs.

You're probably already on your way, but if you want to bring some port or white wine glasses to be able to simultaneously sample the Madeiras that would be helpful.
