Funny, in August 2012 I bought the Meeker offering (and it was great) and they shipped it to Maryland. Now, not so much. Just puzzled.

did anybody have it recently? (= aged another year)?

I would wager a guess that this is pretty darn good stuff. Now if only I could make some room for some more ps.......

Also offered 4/25/2012 and 1/18/2012, according to my purchase history ;). I would tell you all about them, but they are still sleeping in the cellar. I can tell you that the 2002 Meeker Dibble Vineyard PS was my very favorite wine until it was sold out.

Mrs. Rugrats and I shared our last bottle of Meeker 2004 Great Cabs Mendocino County last night, and it was amazing! I wish they would find some of THAT and offer it here, that would be an instant buy!

I'm close to pulling the trigger, but hesitant. I think I've had one Petite Sirah before in my life, but it was years ago and I don't remember anything particular (positive or negative) about it. At more than $20 per bottle shipped, this seems a little expensive if I don't end up liking it.

I have pretty diverse tastes. I like Zins on the full-bodied and spicy end of the scale and Cabs with some oak best. I also enjoy Syrah and various Italian wines -- Chianti, Montepulciano, Sangiovese. I have a bottle of Four Vines Petite Sirah sitting in the wine rack at home, because I figured I should try some Petite Sirah soon, but not sure if the Four Vines is a good intro.

Help?

I think you will love it! Just be sure to give it plenty of air, and watch it develop.
