Caved and made a LinkedIn profile (if you have my real details please come "connect" or whatever). I felt really bad when some of my volunteers wanted a LinkedIn recommendation and I didn't have an account. Plus I keep hearing it's a good thing to do.

Ice - that whole thing sounds way to unnecessarily exhausting.

Good evening, everybody.

I just noticed that I have 99 Woots. What should I buy to gain my 100+ square?

Worked in the outside since it wasn't as hot today. Still humid, but at least got some of the yard work done.

Stayed up to comfort the cats while neighbors set off fireworks. At least they're doing them before it gets late. Hate waking up because of them.

Ice, at least they have some notice. It sucks, but better than finding out on Friday for the following Monday.

You should know better than most that sometimes ya gotta do what needs to be done

Tomorrow and Monday promise to be as busy.
Good news is the Ohio Valley is sending us a cool front with 2-6 inches of rain and temperatures, not in the 100's, but in the 80's!! This is an rare blessing for Texas in July.

What!?!? I want it back. Supposed to be in the 90s for the next five days here and the humidity's rising. Of course tomorrow afternoon (bright sunshine) is when we take some of the grandkids to the festival for the afternoon.

Good morning! What is that bright yellow thing in the sky? Oh so that is what the sun looks like! It was so rainy and icky here at the beach yesterday that I made soup.

Going to early church. Have a great day everybody!

Whoo hoo! Rain came early so I can't cut the lawn. Oldster's new washer came so I supervised the install and tutored m-I-l on the operation. I got the simplest one I could but I know I'll be over often to re-educate her...

We bought our current washer and dryer in 2010. The one before that we bought in '71.

It is muggy out.
Suppose to be another bad week with a heat wave.

Stupid heat.

Maybe I'll move to Alaska and just build a huge heated sun room with a pool.
That should be enough summer.

Going to be a bad week as far as weather.

It isn't even that hot, but you sweat as soon as you do anything.

Good thing Rusty hates heat as much as I do.

Can I join you? In Alaska that is.

So none of you know about this mystery box?

I think my SIL is going to pay to ship it to me. I have a feeling it's a Bricks of Chocolate style thing, I hope it's worth the cost of shipping.

It stays that way here lately. We are over 30 inches of rain. I gave up counting. Upper spillway totally gone, river runs through the road. Lower spillway, near the house, has major crack in cement buttress. Culvert has dropped a foot. Now the water has washed about three feet off the south end of the concrete. Water is behind concrete buttress and washing the road away. There is so much water that some guys were fishing in the hole in the road and are catching fish! Pretty sad when a person can catch fish in the hole on the road washed by the dropped culvert. It has already washed about a third of the road away. At this rate they will need to replace both culverts. Could be a looong time before we get mail or garbage service again! Sigh.

And of course we don't need to mention temps in the 80's and 90's with 80+% humidity. Have I mentioned how much I HATE humidity? Nothing quite like the feeling of having cats on one's chest when one walks around. And walking outside feels like trying to breath through a pool of warm water! Thank goodness for air conditioning and not going out much. I guess that is one good thing about having roads pretty much washed out no need/way to get out much. Great excuse to stay inside!

Good morning everybody! We've been to the beach this morning. It is so hot and muggy that the condo is cold and it is set at 78!

Good grief Jaws! What will happen if there is a tropical storm or hurricane? Stuff that cross the panhandle ends up in western NC. The rivers are really high here. They are over flood stage by a couple of feet.

Yes there was a poop. Small.

Oh he does fine most of the time, except when he's mad at us, or when he's playing, or when he doesn't want to take a nap - and pretty much anytime it comes to poo, because he hates to poo that's why he's on a dairy elimination too.

We screwed up, we waited too long. He was ready last year, but we were busy and we didn't do it then, so he got used to knowing he needed to go and just doing it in a diaper.

I for one am seriously praying for no tropical storms or hurricanes. The soil is saturated add in wind and trees would be falling over like dominos.
