Just a guess (especially since I think amazon still includes them in their emails), but it is probably a security thing. If your email gets intercepted, now someone can't locate your tracking information without having direct access to your woot account information.

Amazon sends them, but you have to basically log in to your account to see it.

When I joined there were several options. Going on memory, there was a zin only club, a superhero only club, and a Harvey Griffons club (the one I joined) which had a variety of reds, all tasty and good. That was some time ago, though...who knows what they are up to these days!!!

Wooters, I am more insane than usual these days. My husband and I are preparing to buy our first home, at the ripe old age(s) of 35 and 38! Oh em geeee, is it stressful. Those of you who know me, know that I am TERRIBLE with all things money.

In other news, Reno really seems more beer-oriented than wine-oriented, and I'm having fun learning beer stuff. Hubby and I went to a beer tasting a few nights ago and had the pleasure of dining with two other couples who had each been married 47 years! Wow! They were super nice. I was seriously outpacing those "old" ladies until we got to the chocolate beers and desserts, then they left me in the dust!

The most that would give away is the city to which it's being shipped. Can't redirect or intercept the shipment without more information.

Sometimes I miss the old woot - plain text emails, actual irreverence instead of the more tortured/belaboured version we have now, and simple tracking numbers easily available.

Not really, I open 1 -2 bottles of red only on the weekends. So when Thursday/Friday rolls around I am starting to think about what to open. My work now blocks al alcohol related sites so I can't even look at what I have in CT at work anymore, so I have to be more proactive.

You and me both! I plan ahead for the weekend, normally start on Thursday and make my decision(s) by quitting time on Friday once we figure out all the meal plans, personal/family plans, etc for the weekend.

We would love to make it, but I will unfortunately be on call that weekend.

Who's got Greystone Pinot Griego White Port?

This girl, thanks to our fellow winewooter, WineWootaHolic...

mmmm, caramel juice....

I will drink no wine before it's time. What time is it, anyway?

Sometimes I freak a bit when I look at all the boxes of wine scattered about... Then I look through the treads and realize, my hoard is relatively small. I can't tell you want a comfort that is.
