Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

You left off Plum, which goes great with Asian food. Sake (Rice) is closer to a beer than a wine.

Also dandelion, which is delicious.

I'd have to say blackberry. The father-in-law made some and it was amazing. Packed quite a punch too!

I would say "Honey" but that option was not available...

I'd have to go with Rhubarb Wine

Blackberry or Raspberry.

But honey (mead) also has to be on that list. I like non-grape wines!

Edit: Oh, and this past summer I had a fabulous really dry blueberry.

Crappy choices. As others have mentioned; mead, cherry, blackberry, raspberry, dandelion plus I'll throw in blueberry, cranberry, pomegranite and elderberry.

Mead, honey wine of the Norse gods.

Apple is by far the best wine fruit after grapes. In some cases, before grapes.

Sake ("rice wine") isn't really wine. Wine is fermented fruit juice. Fermenting grains in water is "brewing"** thus sake is more of a beer than a wine.

**Sake makers even use the term brewing to refer to their production process.

Also, Elderberry is probably the only non grape wine that has it's own song. So it wins.
