It's a Made in China version of a high end cork screw. If you went to Williams-Sonoma and dropped $50 on a cork screw, you'd get a product very similar, but more polished than this.

For the record, I have no idea where this is made.

Man, remember when the excuse for all these miserable tchotchkes last summer was "summer shipping"? Is that still in effect? It seems like there must be a very small (and shrinking) window where wine.woot thinks it's OK to ship edible products.

What's the difference between this corkscrew and the one I got on amazon? They look identical.
