I have had the pleasure of sampling (buying!) the Tasi Merlot, but have not had any experience w/ their Chardonnay. I am looking for an everday white that is too oaky. Does anyone have any tasting notes on this one?

This isn't the Moone-Tsai Chard on CT is it? I'm guessing not.

Can't speak to the accuracy of the article, but have to comment on their bizarre 'pronunciations' of various types of wines/grapes.

For example:

Garnacha Blanca: Gawr naw chuh Blawnk uh

Cabernet Sauvignon: Kab air nay Soo ving YAHN

I tasted it this summer, and was finally able to locate my notes. I should preface this by saying I'm not usually a huge fan of California chardonnay, but here are my notes:

"Medium-bodied. Honeydew and pineapple(?) on the nose. A nice dose of vanilla on the palate, but not overpowering. Decent, but not great."

Based on how the Tasi Merlot worked out, I'm in for 1 of the chardonnay. The only problem w/ that is now I have unlocked free shipping during a Woot Off=could be an expensive day! But, that is also a way to rationalize multiple purchases!

BTW, loved all the comments about wine/reviewers yesterday. For those of you who consistantly provide us neophytes with your honest interpretations of the wine being offered I say "Thanks!"
