I've had some BAAAAD cellard wine that was only good for pouring down the drain! Some wine was not meant to be aged!!

Living stuff is fine. If I find something dead in it, it's a problem.

Did so a week or so ago....

If I won't drink it, SWMBO won't cook with it, and it goes down the drain.

Pouring out wine is considered alcohol abuse.
It should be illegal.
There has to be some use for it.
Even if you use it as paint stripper, there's good alcohol in there!

I poured one down the sink last night but it's only the 2nd or 3rd time I've ever done that so it's a rare treat for the drain homies.

Had a couple of bottles (not at the same time) that were undrinkable, beyond even using to cook.

Not something I *like* to do, but I am also not going to force feed myself something I don't enjoy.

If the wine is not good, I'm not going to drink it. If it is not good enough to cook with either, it goes down the drain.

please tell me what might be living in it?!! scary thought when the bottles are dark...now I'll have to check to see if I see anything floating or splashing. Thanks, alot.

Yep. If it's bad, it goes down the drain. If a third of a bottle ends up forgotten in the fridge for a week (this is not a common occurrence, but it has been known to happen on occasion), it ends up going down the drain as well.

Apart from yeast, I don't want anything living or dead in my wine.

Sure! Into a stainless steel skillet to free up burnt remains from cooking...works pretty good for that most times and sure beats scrubbing. Worth a try if you have wine that has corked
