Gourmet Nut

There's nothing wrong with the IDEA of snacking. It's just that once you start your 3 o'clock pie breaks, you've crossed into dangerous territory. Stick with this stuff and you'll find it much easier to stay awake until 5pm. And that'll make your boss happy.

will have to read more on the chia seeds. I've been liking the Mama Chia drinks lately.

edit-can't find the chia nor flax seeds on the gourmet website.

That's funny--I just had chia seeds for lunch. A tbsp of chia seeds on top of a whole grain bagel & light cream cheese will keep you full for hours. Love those lil things! Just make sure you check your teeth when you're done eating. No, really, check your teeth. It's gross.

Oh, and one ounce of the nut mixes = 150 calories? Great. How big is an ounce of snack mix? (Seriously, why couldn't you do these measurements in imperial measures? I'd like to be able to take out a half-cup scoop and say "ok, this is 200 calories of snackies".)

Ahhh, those are Imperial units. It appears you just don't like mass and want dry volume.

Do Chia Pets get their name from chia seeds?

Got a similar offering last time around that included the smoked sea salt from Gourmet Nut. Only salt that ever had me contemplating carrying it around in my purse. Yes, it was that good.

That's a good idea. I have some that I haven't been brave enough to try yet. Will have to give it a go!

Oh good! Just the other day I said "I hope the sea salt is offered again soon, I'm running out!" It's like woot read my mind.

This set is different, it has a Spanish rosemary infused salt and French Mediterranean salt. Qvc has a Alaea Hawaiian salt and a sonoma salt. Both sound like great deals though.
