Thanks Kyle - greatly appreciated!!!! I started working with White Hawk in 2010- and still have the first of my White Hawk syrahs, my 2010, in barrel. Did two separate ferments that year - one cofermented with about 6% vio and the other with 25% whole cluster inclusion. Hope to bottle them this summer . . .

Just about to release my two newest grenaches, the 09 Larner (75% whole cluster) and 09 Watch Hill (50% whole cluster). Both saw 30 months in neutral oak and both are pretty darned amazing - if I say so myself!!!!

After seeing Larry on the boards all this time its damn near impossible to resist the opportunity to try his wines. My wife loves viognier in a lighter style so I am curious about this one.

I am also curious about the PS\Syrah blend. It sounds awesome but I don't recall having a similar wine before. Has anyone had The Climb and would like to share some notes?

A little winery called Shafer (MAN, I wish my last name was spelled differently!!!) makes a wine called Relentless (current release was WS Wine of the Year this year). Usually about 80 syrah and 20 PS. Plenty of reviews of my wines on CellarTracker . . .

And the viognier is definitely more 'demure' - more acid driven and food friendly. Give it a decant, put it back to bottle, and serve it a little warmer than at cellar temperature . . .

Well, the Cuvee Christie is about 75% grenache - so at least that's a start!!!

We'll have to see how this goes - and how the reaction is for my new releases shortly.
