This was my #2 on the tasting list. Big yeasty nose, lovely plum & berry mouth. Alas, it's a wootoff!, so it'll be long gone before anyone else gets to partake.

I liked this one, gave it an 8/10. Very high alcohol which is noticeable, but not as much as you would suspect with this high of alc. This is not an overly fruity Syrah (not like an Australian Shiraz). I felt it had a nice balance.
Paso Robles has been my goto spot for Syrahs that match what I want lately, and this one is no exception.
(disclaimer: this was one of my last wines tasted of the evening)
*edit* Once again, very nice deal Woot! This is very tempting. */edit*

Just checked through the note sheets I collected from the non-Wooters at the Austin tasting. It's funny how most of them seem to trail off to nothing after wine 7 or 8. Unfortunately for this wine, it was number 11 on the list.

heh. Yeah, my notes are practically unreadable on page two, but my two top choices are also among them. This makes sense, as we basically went from light white wines to deep dark reds-- typically my favorites. I at least had enough tastebuds left to write YES and a big circle, along with ratings, if not enough brain cells to actually write commentary.
I hope that after 12 glasses of wine and a finger of Scotch that I wasn't as big an ass as my icon would imply. ;-)

If you managed to take any notes on wine #11, you were obviously more coherent than some other members of our group. Where were you hiding the Scotch?
