Thanks again, everybody. We wanted to get some more wine out today since we sold out much faster than we expected.

I just tasted the 2007 again yesterday and today. It's very tight right now, so make sure you give it air (1 day preferably) before getting into it. It's settling into a really elegantly aged wine, but needs air to show it's stuff.

You like the big heavy and full bodied wines. I think you'll be in for something interesting and different here. You'll most likely enjoy it, but be sure to give lots of air - especially if you're drinking it somewhat soon.

I'm just thankful that this is what I still have sitting untouched in the cellar. With Lucas' remarks I'm glad I haven't opened it yet also. How's the 2006 doing?

I'm addicted to the big heavy and full bodied wines, I'm willing to try "other" wines, but have been burned ob some buys. the Zins for one. Got a Fizzy Cab "breathing" right now, pretty good after a couple of hrs and a good shake in the decanter, for the price it's killer.

agggggghhh I am heading to CA for D&D.... can I justify buying this now????

Big, heavy, and full-bodied = PS. Some of them can get meaty and smokey, too. Like klez says, open in a couple years or let sit open for HOURS.

Love PS, haven't tried Meeker yet, and was thus tempted. Then I saw that there's no love for NH :-( Seems a disproportionate number of the woot offerings don't of late...

I tried to relate in my review that it was good; it just needed to get the fizzy out. At $8 a bottle, I agree it was a great QPR.

Cheaper here than at the winery, plus you don't have to haul it back with you

The only zins I've had that are full bodied are otherwise a mess. High alcohol fruit bombs with little to no acid. The good zins, imo, are those with a medium body and some finesse. Like Scott Harvey's and Wellington's - although Wellington's verges on full bodied. (Also Cab Sauv can go from medium to the light side of full body depending on style.) You may also want to try a few syrahs. They're a different beast from the others, but you can get a nice big one without much difficulty.

We're working on our compliance aggressively right now. I'm hoping we'll have it this year. Unfortunately, it's on of the more complicated states where the business we typically generate there doesn't always justify the cost and effort of the paperwork.
