HitAnyKey42 wrote:PB, I just went searching for the CyberPub that you asked me to bring for you....and when I couldn't find it easily I started to recall that I had already sent it back with someone from CT. Searched the last NY tasting thread and realized that I did indeed send it back with mother/darlene. I don't recall off the top of my head which one of them has it, but the box is certainly in CT already.

Well, mother or darlene, any recollection? All I know is that HAK took it from NV. Hope one of you remembers.

Pretty sure that would explain a mystery box I've got.

Updated the first post for current attendees. Always fun to watch the list ebb and flow. The weather yesterday isn't helping. Winter in New England.

Well, if you get here before HAK, he'll be right. You'll see me first.

Could it be that drinking causes memory problems?

Likely the same. We got about 5 inches, and then a lot of rain. Like shoveling concrete. Then all the water around turned to ice. So last night was slick. Not too bad today, and roads are OK here.

We are on our way. Making a couple stops down in CT and planning to be up at 6. Will bring kt's famous homemade gourmet christmas cookies™ and some interesting wine.

Thank you for a lovely evening of conversation, food, and wine! The lasagnas were delicious! It was great meeting a new person (apathy), and seeing old friends! We had more New Yorkers than Ct peeps! ktest, your cookies were fantastic, as were Mrs. PB's! Steve and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and look forward to doing it again soon.

PS. Thanks for the mini-scotch tasting as well, what a great way to end a beautiful evening

Ran out of room for the wines, and can't think of a good quote for now

Darlene1, need to recount. Five NYers, if you include Cheron, and six from CT. But out of staters were well represented.

Great time. Glad to have everyone come up. Enjoyed sharing the Scotch.

Will post the list of wines later. I really am that lazy today.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. More NY than CT, than I did the count. I think if we only counted wooters, we would lose since we had two spouses that aren't on woot.

Sorry for the delay, wines tasted are below. I think I got the order, although when we put the Cabernet Sauvignon into the rotation is less certain.

Note that in light of recent events on wine.woot, Mother brought a sparkling red.

1. Shannon Ridge 2009 Rousanne Morine Ranch
2. Buena Vista 2011 French Columbard
3. Mumm Cuvee M Sparkling Red
4. Laurita NV Zweigelt
5. Laurita NV Lemberger
6. Summerland 2007 Pinot Noir Rancho Santa Rita Vineyard
7. 2000 Chateau La Fleur de Bouard
8. Salexis 2006 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
9. Havens 2005 Bourriquot
10. Hahn 2007 Cabernet Franc
11. Ty Caton 2005 Tytanium
12. 2007 Domaine Bordenave Jurançon Cuvée des Dames
13. Joseph Phelps 2009 Eisrebe

The CS you have correct. It's the Hahn and Havens you have swapped.

Thanks again for putting up with us...I mean putting us up. It certainly was a good time.
