Poll: Wine in a religious ceremony… do you wish it was better quality?
  • 15.4% - No, it should always be of simple quality. That’s the whole idea, right? 118
  • 11.6% - Yes, I do! Shouldn’t the best stuff be a sign of respect? 89
  • 23.9% - It’s never anything I think about. I just take it as part of the service. 183
  • 33.5% - I don’t involve myself in religion, so I’ll never know. 257
  • 15.6% - I don’t drink wine as part of my worship. 120

Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I wish it was in a bigger cup

Nothing says "Blood of Christ" like a $300 bottle of wine.

Well, the idea of utilizing alcohol in worship was originally a pagan act of consuming the essence of a deity after the booze was offered. The deity took energy from the alcohol and then replaced it with his/her/it's own essence, which was then made part of the worshiper. Better stuff holds more energy which translates to better connections.

If you're going to perform the eucharist, you had better understand it WINNER!

The word you're looking for is "than." And "beer" isn't capitalized.

Why doesn't he just give up? Perhaps more importantly, why do we keep trying to get him to see the light? He couldn't be bothered responding to my sincere offer to forward an email from a site that has regular, and BTW very interesting, beer offers.

That would be 'Tis. And the email offer still stands.
