Alright, I am officially a mess: just got an email that our grades are due tomorrow by noon. My immediate reaction was, "Whaaat, we just find this out NOW?" I thought they were due Wednesday by 8 AM. Noon is better, right? One of my colleagues looked at me and said, "But tomorrow is Wednesday, right?" I breathed a sigh of relief! I actually have a little more time to finish comments instead of doing an all nighter. I still need to finish grading some tests. ddeuddeg has grades due tomorrow.
Must get out to vote later and get to choir practice, too!

I needed that otter. Today my job has been HP Plotter repairman. Not a job I'm suited for, but I do believe I've fixed the damn belt. I love my job. I went to school for 8 years, got a Masters in Geography, work as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist and all around Scientific whiz kid and what have I done the last two weeks. Fixed a Bunn coffemaker and an HP Plotter. Sumbitch.

Thanks! What rjq doesn't realize is that I still had to finish grading Unit Tests. I had a number of kids out for illnesses and funerals and, and . . . Now, I need to finish the make-up work & enter those corrected grades and double check to see if I recorded other completed work on my sheets, but haven't updated the electronic gradebook! The good news is that I'll have time in the AM to finish comments that I don't get to tonight!

Second, who can tell me whats wrong with this, aside from it being hideous.
That rug would go well with the life sized lucite panther someone had in the bedroom of a house my husband and I looked at. It stood on it's hind legs and had the front paws propped up against a mirrored wall. All it needed was a chrome pole in the corner to complete the ensemble. As you might guess, we didn't buy that house. Not really a fan of the Scarface interior design style.

Hey, someone has to do it, have some whine.
We're so tired here of the administration offloading all the work to the departments, and not funding it, I could just scream, and at times do!
Quarter or semester system?
Quarter here, and it all comes just that much faster.
So, actually I do get it, but you still sounded a bit like an undergrad.
Don't be mad at me.
Love undergrads. First question I always asked, who took this class because they didn't want to take physics or chemistry? 90% hand raise and smug looks that fell into depression when I said great, cause geology is basically just physics AND chemistry. Be prepared for a crash course on both! Probably got a 30% drop rate by the second class.

Sorry about sounding like an undergrad. I have been known to do all nighters or at least until 3 or 4 AM at grade reporting time. I always want to get something else in that I hadn't finished grading. We are on the quarter system here, but we have to do progress reports every 5 weeks. So, 5 weeks PR, 10 wks report cards, 15 wks PR, etc. I'm not mad at you. Don't worry. I have no idea how I misread my assistant principal's email though. I guess I just forgot what day of the week it was and forgot how to tell time???? THAT would be really scary! Fatigue. Long weekend is coming!
Time to get back to work.

We have an HP 5500PS. What do you have? Turned out to be not so bad, but I did end up with a plastic clip I forgot to put back. Looks like a cable clip though, so no biggie.

We had to rewrite code on our time sheets because people in our office couldn't figure out Military Time. Now you get my animosity displayed in the other thread.

Thanks for the translation, but not a prob for me: I teach French & Spanish and have lived in countries where this is de rigeur!
BTW, I'm going to leave the report card comments for the morning. All updates have been made and comment list triaged. It's looking good!
