“In the entire world there are only a few sounds that bring joy to all but the most jaded. One is the murmur of a kitten purring. Another is the thwack of a well-pitched baseball hitting a perfectly swung bat. And the third is the pop of a cork being pulled from a bottle of wine.” —George Taber

Again, liking the low 13.5 ABV, but sure could use some additional info.

From the website
This robust Malbec, with a hint of Petite Sirah and Syrah, is an intense and complex wine. Peppery yet loaded with red and black fruit. Plummy in the mouth, with an expressive mid-palate of notes of violets and ripe berries. Its well balanced tannins, good acidity and well-rounded structure make this wine a perfect pairing for grilled meats, duck and pork ribs.
Retail price: $16/bottle

Woot (amazon), that would be $96 retail.
sigh..

I see the Syrah is sold out.

Tempting.

Seriously...I don't mind trying something, but buying 6 blind is a little too hard to justify. Can anyone comment on this one?

I tried this one and enjoyed it. It was VERY floral, VERY violet. Made me think of strolling though a garden. The violet flavor was still predominate on days 2 and 3.

I agree that this has strong floral notes which I happened to find very enjoyable. I would certainly buy this again (halfway through 1st bottle). Would be interested if anyone has tried other varieties from this winery...
