Since these jerky has more water, that means we are paying for water where we wouldn't be in other jerkies? Not such a good deal.

On the other hand, since these are still hydrated, can we soak them in water and they become full size steaks again?

Come back with some salted caramels or wine and I will be your friend again. But $50 for jerky and nut heck no. I can go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods and still find a better deal. That's saying something, lol.

PS: Dark chocolate salted caramels soon please.

I love beef Jerky, But I don't love these. I'm sorry but I can't endorse any of these. I've had this brand before, and I can say that I couldn't even force myself to eat the rest of the beef jerky. I was upset that I had paid so much for it.

Pretty Horrible experience. Sorry Woot, but I gotta tell the truth.

people who expect cheap beef on a wine site are silly. it's a good deal vs. retail for this stuff, and though it's a lot more than the leather you get at wal-mart, that's to be expected. It's real daggum jerky.

some folks just have ridiculous expectations. I'm actually surprised more people aren't complaining that it isn't wine... or something.

You guys missed a perfect opportunity to partner with Perky Jerky, which has caffeine in it. . . Seems much more "college" than Krave (which is delicious but mad expensive).

Good morning all, I have been a Woot customer for only a year now but I am getting more and more disapointed with the offerings every week. I can only assume a few long time Wooters have stopped their daily on site check in. The jerky looks terrible

I got some of this the last time Woot had it and I have to say it's some of the worst jerky I've ever had. Those that are saying it's moist and tender have no idea. The moist they felt was the coating of glaze/sugar on it. It's so sticky and covered in crap when you reach in the bag to get some out your hand will be covered in gooo. As for the tender part, if you mean as tender as chewing on the sole of your shoe then you would be correct.

It seems like the good offerings are in the Woot Plus zone. Which is more true to the original Wine.Woot approach of having an offer run for multiple days. Regular Wine.Woot offerings are pretty disappointing on average, but I guess that's the byproduct of going from one offer to seven per week. A similar thing seems to happen when a winery cranks up its production rapidly.

Am the only one that thinks that jerky looks less like meat and more like, ah, "droppings"?

I'll pass. I don't eat much meat anymore, and when I do, it won't be this.

Apparently someone else thought it looked like dog poop on a board too. OK.

The pistachios are wonderful, but I wouldn't cross the street for the jerky if it were free. Think of candied wet meat and you've pretty much got the picture. Check the "Ingredients"---sugar, HFCS, or brown sugar are the 2nd ingredient in 4/5 products, and ALL have multiple sweeteners in them.
Here, count the sweeteners in the Chipotle:

"Ingredients: Beef, sugar, soy sauce (water, soybeans, wheat, salt), corn syrup, spices, granulated honey (honey, high fructose corn syrup, wheat starch, corn syrup, soy flour, calcium steorate, lecithin), citric acid, salt, liquid smoke flavoring."

This should come with insulin.

The first time I saw this jerky offered, I read the complaints people had about the moisture, texture and taste and realized immediately that this was similar to Chinese style jerkies. I ignored the comments and purchased three of them since I grew up on this kind of jerky and actually like them. I wasn't disappointed and have buying them since - and have even turned my Caucasian friends onto it. My favorite flavors are the spicy ones like the chipotle or the chili lime. I also like the chili garlic, which is pictured in the OP but is not in the description. I'd be in for three of these this time, but I'm allergic to the pistachios. Woot, why did you do that? Anyway, another time.

Not a fan. I like jerky a lot, and this seemed like a reasonable deal when Woot had it last time, so I picked up the variety pack.

Of the 5, two (chili lime and hawaiian styles) were too sweet and weird to enjoy... not to mention the sticky glaze that others have mentioned here already. The taste was okay, but their "flavorings" overpowered the savory flavor of the meat in most cases.

All the beef-based flavors were somewhat fatty, with actual visible fat and gristle on some pieces.

The texture itself was somewhat unpleasant. Moist, yes, but more like a limp chunk of sliced meat (like you'd put in a sandwich) than "jerky."

Overall, this was definitely not my style of jerky. I hate to say it, but I ended up throwing a lot of it out.

You'll taste it to. This stuff is way over sweetened and over seasoned. Got this last time it was offered and couldn't get through a single bag. Gave it to a sweet tooth friend of mine and she seemed to enjoy it.

Got this the first time around. Jerky was much sweeter than my usual preference and also had a slimy feel.

It's not awful but not jerky in a pure sense. Carb counts were a little too high imho.
