So do most folks buy based on what they know about the wine? By price? By what they can click on quickly enough?

"IF" you have time to check CT or googleor wherever, then you can make a decision. Otherwise, the better offers are there and gone before you can even think about them.

You're right. You have to keep hitting refresh. The best wines are somehow sold even when you think you have it in your basket. The Juslyn and the Keating were, I thought" bought, but then I got the on to the next offer empty box.

Sometimes wines will show up again.

I do the research on wines that look interesting, knowing that if I miss them, they will probably be back in rotation before all is said and done. These LB sales usually last a few days and have a lot of repeats. Tried to buy a few things and missed them all, but if they return I will be quicker on the draw for 2006 Mas Doix Priorat Salanques, maybe the Niepoort Dry White NV, certainly the Domaine Charvin Cheateauneuf du Pape 2010. The Gary Farrel stuff is also good juice at a good price, although I am well stocked on that.

Seems to be working now.
EDIT: Showing a strange price on today's wine.woot offer, though.

Anyone who has an iPhone, I can set you up with my very beta Dealtracker that alerts you to these LB deals. It needs a lot of work, but the notifications are actually working.
