[edit] that made no sense.
I totally gave up even trying to buy anything due to the connection speed on the ipad. At times it would only keep reloading and wouldn't even display one as the next was already up.

EPIC FIAL

Looks like more to come from LB today...assuming the message at the bottom of the site won't change with the next offer they post.

Picked up some decent and interesting stuff yesterday. Pumped to receive the 2006 Vinya dels Taus Penedès Nun and the 2005 Hobbs Sémillon Barossa Range (possible steal at $9? We will see...)

Never had Xarello in anything other than Cava so really looking forward to trying the Nun and seeing how it performs, sans bubbles.

holy cow, the Barolo from LB just showed up. I guess they wanted to get some of their other orders out of the way prior to the marathon...

Just a word of advice on these LB marathons: do not try to buy multiples. Buy one, and if the wine is still there after your purchase, do it again. Every time I've tried to purchase multiple I lose due to the time it takes on the quantity page.

It was the whole slow connection one-tab/window-open-at-a-time thing that was the killer. Ever since I got the mini SWMBO claimed it and I ended up the the old one. I have enough toys, and bottles, difficult to &^%# about it.

LB jumped from a $16 chard to a $300 Riesling!

And going from the sublime to the ridiculous, now a $6 Riesling. I can't find a word about it online, and I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy an Aussie Riesling, especially with no info whatsoever about RS, but I do love Riesling, it's only $6, and it's somehow associated with one of my favorite restaurants. So, what the heck!

I'm decidedly bottom-feeding on this sale, but what fun! I picked up 4 of that Lurton Malbec earlier today. With my $5 intro credits, it came to $20 -- we'll enjoy it, if only for that reason! But I've enjoyed some of Lurton's Argentine productions in the past, I think it's a pretty safe investment. I guess we'll see!
