Been reading a book all day that I just kind of stumbled across at the library when they were showing me how to download to my Kindle. One of my favorite series, but I doubt if too many here have read any. Amelia Peabody anyone? Maybe Joyner.

I havent heard of that series Poof, but i might have to check it out. I googled it.

Which kindle did you get? I have an Android tablet, but i have a kindle app and a nook app. I use both.

Is anyone watching the Olympics? I love them and will watch anything :-)

Kids got me a plain old Kindle for Christmas. As far as I can tell, that's all I need. If you're going to read that series, start with the first one. I think it's been going on for 28 years.

We have been watching non stop. The swimming was awesome. I love watching Phelps swim, and i love looking at Ryan Lochte.He's purdy. I love watching him swim too though

I stumbled on another odd series. Amazon had the first book on the Kindle Daily Deal and it sounded intresting so I bought it for 1.99. Then went to get the others and discovered they're $12 each. Sneaky little devils. Checked the used book store - none. Then got online at the library, the second book had 10 people ahead of me on the Kindle! Finally found out it's a TV series, probably why it's so popular. Walt Longmire mysteries. I did get the second one. Now I have to wait awhile because I tend to gobble new books and after a few, I don't like them as much. Did that make sense?

Made sense to me. My mom says the show is good. I haven't seen it. Didn't know it was a book series. I have to take breaks in a series or genre and read something else.

Some short-lived but strong storms rolled through here a while ago. Cooled things down a bit but raised the humidity up a lot.
