Sounds great! In for one.

Dumb question: how do you know this is a woot cellars wine?

Second dumb question: what exactly does a woot cellars wine mean?

Normally I would say the first one was a dumb question, however, the only place I actually see this noted on this offering is the on second picture (close-up shot of the label). It is not noted anywhere else, however, those who have been around know about the first two Triacipedis wines and know that they were Woot Cellars wines.

To answer the second question, Woot Cellars wines are special wines that Woot makes in cooperation with a winery or winemaker (Three Wine Company in this case) and which is only available on Woot and generally in fairly limited quantities. They generally offer good wine at a pretty amazing value, and always have some kickass bottle labels (which they really should ship an extra label with each order so we don't have to save the whole bottle!).

Loved the T-II and bought it both times I had the chance. Both times I wished I went in for more than one so I went for 3 of the III's. I have a strong preference for red but T-II had pretty universal appeal. I am hoping for similar from T-III.

Why is it 5 Bottles this time when it was 6 for the same price with Tri-1 and Tri-2?

Still in for 1 though...

Just pulled the trigger for 3 and realized my shipping info is outdated. Anybody know who to contact to correct this? I've always been a little confused with the customer service aspect of woot.

This happened to me once, and I just emailed Woot (I think I used a link in the confirmation email, but this was a year or so ago). They quickly sent another package to my correct address, even though the incorrectly addressed package had already shipped. I was very impressed by the customer service.

I had no intention of buying this wine, have just bought plenty of whites to get me and the frinds that join me on the pation thru the summer. But I like reading the blog, and all of you great regulars comments. Maybe I should stop that, because after hearing all of you jump at the Wine Woot offering, I likewise pulled the trigger. Does anyone know any good dieversionary tactics to use when all this newly ordered wine start showing up to the door? Wife is going to poop her panties!!!

Simple. Redirect it all to your nearest Fed Ex store, then go pick it up and take it home when she isn't around and sneak it inside. Just show her one or two boxes that you got and pretend like you already had all of the rest.

I was so sad when I drank my last bottle of T-1 last week during the heat wave. What a great surprise to have this on Thursday, when it's usually a non-wine day.

According to the stats, Tri 3 is significantly less sweet than Tri 2:

Residual sugar in Tri 3: 7.5 grams/liter
Residual sugar in Tri 2: 21.47 grams/liter

Couldn't find the stats for Tri 1, but I went in for the Tri 3 based on the blend and the lowered sweetness level.

All I have to do is buy lots of whites (and I'm a Reisling fan!) and Woot offers me more. I'm a red drinker! What am I doing with all of this white?

Oh, yeah. Drinking it.

In inverse and not complete order. Rinfrescante. Pepper Bridge. Saxon Brown. Monkey Prize. Vina Robles. Ty Caton Tytanium (always!). Roshambo. Polyphemus. Donati Family. Poizon. Montinore. Kent Rasumussen. Mumm Napa. Boss Monster. Iron Horse. Albino Rhino. White Zeppelin, Buttonwood Farm, 8-Bit, Ty Caton Racchus, Twas!

Simple, set your woot shipping address to:

tiger7610 c/o Fedex
FedEx Address
City, State, Zip

Just that easy, but you may want to use your real name.

In order to hold the price and still do summer shipping they decided to give your extra bottle to your FedEx drivers.

Had to get two, can't quite justify three. I just drank up the last bottle of Tri-I last week. It was yummy with deep fried walleye and home made fries! Still have a few of the Tri-II in the rack. Must make room for this batch. Cannot say NO to woot!cellars or a Triacipedis. Cheers!

And this just works wonders for great service at the local FedEx outlet, I order extra just to make sure I have some to give them.

From memory, this blend looks more like the Albino Rhino vs. the original Triacipedis. Are there any insiders who have tasted this that could compare/contrast?

I liked them both, but my wife really did not like the Albino Rhino...

I was just complaining the other day it's been far too long since we've had a woot cellars wine. While I begrudgingly bought this one I'm glad to see they too weren't lost with woot's acquisition by amazon. I say begrudgingly because well..that price tag used to get us 6 bottles of wine, not 5.

But i guess those days are long gone.

In for two - considering how much we *loved* the Kaleidoscope last year (man I wish there was more for sale again!) this will have to be our go-to summer white from WW for 2012!

And the $5 coupon I had from jumbowoot just makes it that much sweeter....

Albino Rhino was like 92% albarino grapes...and 8% riesling. This is only ~42% albarino, i'd say while this may be close(r) to it...it's not going to taste like albino rhino. P.S. Any bottles of it you have still and want to get rid of...i'd be happy to take them off your hands if they've been stored properly.

I have been following. Good job to date. It reminds me of sneaking the key to my sisters journal to see what she has been upto, and potentially blackmailing her for all the naughty bits.... Except that this is a wine journal, not much for potential naughty bittys. It is an open forum, and that takes away quite a bit from the sneaking about part. Oh yeah, all that plus the fact I never had a sister so there wouldn'nt have been much of a key involved. But aside from all that, when I read your blog, it strikes me just as I said.
