What is this a blend of? I can't find it anywhere on the page.

Found this on their website:

62% Syrah, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance equal parts Cabernet Franc and
Petit Verdot)

It's also in CT :P

This is the last cellartracker note : 62% Syrah, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 11% Petit Verdot

Would like to hear from anyone that has tasted this. I found cellartracker notes somewhat odd.
Maybe a chime in from the winery?
Cheers

Edit: so I don't win the fastest poster...lol

Yes, that blend is correct. The wine was aged for 23 months in 50% new French oak. This is a big wine with plenty of rich, creamy tannin keeping the wine still tasting young and fresh.

Owner/Winemaker Steve Martell- thanks for joining us today... Kaleidos was another 'find' from the Paso Robles Garagiste festival. Big, yummy Paso Robles red here...

I actually had this recently at a friends house. As I recall, the wine was a really dark purple color, beautiful to look at.

When we first opened it at cellar temperature I remember it seeming a bit flat with a bit of a taste of fig and currents on the nose. Once it opened up a little, it seemed pretty well balanced with more of a tart cherry or currents on the palate with some underlying smokiness and hints of caramel.

It was very drinkable now, but I got the feeling it wouldn't cellar for very long. I did enjoy it, and it went very well with the burgers we had grilled. Worth having around for some summer grilling fun at $17.50/bottle here on Woot.

Wow, its evening on the east coast and only 11 comments. And two with any experience of this wine.

I've never been disappointed with wines from Paso Robles, but I'd love to hear from more wooters as to their opinion of this wine.

I notice that woot has been generally offering wines at 33% discount, however, Safeway also is offering all their wines at 30% off plus 10% case discount. Are woot wines still a good deal?

Do you see the wines woot has at Safeway? I don't think it's fair to compare grocery store wine to the majority of the wine we are offered here.

By the way, the 30% off is a great way to get party wines on the cheap.

Occasionally I note some overlap, most often with Washington and Oregon offerings. I'm in the Puget Sound area and some of the local Safeway's have some quite good wine section, with good representation from Northwest wineries.

Oh, Woot, you are so bad to my wallet, but I can't resist a good buy on a good blend. In for one.
