I got this with the Harvest Moon case. My notes were limited.
I recall this wine being pleasant and fruity, decent with barbeque but overall unremarkable. For $12.50/bottle shipped, you could certainly do much worse.
The best wine in that case I believe was the estate Zinfandel. Randy(The winemaker's) hallmark, I believe is non-over-the-top-wines. He seems to generally aim for more subtlety in his Zins.
The Pinot was decent as well.
Hope that helps.
Is it broke or just fractured?

Hi Randy:
I thought I read somewhere recently that either a) this winery had been sold or b) that your wine was being liquidated for some reason. Am I corect or just plain loco?
If neither is correct, what Sonoma AVA are the grapes for the zin sourced from? I am a big fan of Dry Creek Valley and RRV Zins so a bit curious. Finally, would you say this Zin is jammy (ina good way). Thanks!

BTW Randy,
In for one, really enjoyed the sampler you put up here last year that included this Zin.
Yup! Moon mountain. Thanks!

Totally was! Thanks for clarifying. Now its time to debate whether i should go in or not? Sounds like a in that needs food vs a dry creek zin that can be had w/o food. I enjoy both but kinda in the mood for the latter
