It has been a pretty rough day for me (her as well). Got bodily fluids all over me. Luckily the wife is home and she can take over while I try to drift away into a glass, err bottle.

I really want the time stamps back! Ok, so I'm nosy, But, still, I really do miss them. It helps for a point of reference--it's really not as efficient to mention Doc O's post on p. 3 on such and such a date . . .

Tangent: I despise glass top stoves, hard to clean and can't use my regular Cast Iron.
I hate our gas stove top. Love the gas, hate the design. It is impossible to remove the drip pans and so, one has to use a knife blade to scrape under the pans and use a special cleaner and scraper/knife to remove spill overs. I really can't believe that anyone could be so stupid to design a stove top like this!

Thankfully, I don't operate every day of the week, but I am today.
Whoaaaa! Rounding PRIOR to 6:30 am meeting? Are you actually waking patients up THAT early???

How old is your youngest? I have this feeling that they may be starting to sleep later. Good luck! I, too, am a night owl. These days, it is really tough to get up. Two more weeks. Just two more weeks. . .

I thought they were about that age and should be sleeping in. All that being said, I am heading off to bed. 6 AM this morning wake up, late afternoon at school, quick freshen up to go to a graduation party from ddeuddeg's school and off to Bases Merlot-ed wine tasting to benefit Shakespeare in Delaware Park. What a wonderfully attended event! 1000 people were there to support Shakespeare in Delaware Park in conjunction with our AAA Baseball team that is the feeder to the NY Mets. And, SDP gets all the proft! Thank you Buffalo Bisons!

Last night I opened a bottle and blamed the strong bitter note on the broccoli rabe I had with dinner.
But tonight I'm drinking it with spicy Thai, no bitter flavors anywhere nearby, and it's still markedly bitter...
Just a bad bottle?
Edit: After tasting a bit more and trying at various temperatures, there is definitely something wrong with the wine. Once it warms up the other flavors come out, but there is still a strong undercurrent of bitterness and astringency that is just not appropriate :/ Out of the fridge it's undrinkable, at room temperature it's passable. I really hope it's just this bottle.
Had it and it wasn't anything to write home about. I wont say that it was bitter, but the flavor was lacking in my opinion.
I will concur that I disliked the wine straight out of the cooler. As it warmed it did get a little better, but will not be something I bring out for wine guest.

It's 9:14 pm and ddeuddeg and I have FINALLY gotten home (and into comfy clothes) from 10 o'clock Mass and brunch and concert and shopping at Kohl's (had to use up $20 in Kohl's cash!) and dinner! We had two wonderful choirs join our choir today to help raise money to fund our organ restoration efforts. We need something like $25,000 to restore our Teller-Kent organ that was installed around 1925. Both ddeuddeg and I had solo bits in two different pieces. I was a bit on edge since I did not get a chance to rehearse at the dress rehearsal on Wed. (had to be at a foreign language awards dinner with my students and their parents). All went well!
I had to do a lot of projecting because all of the choir was doing oooo's and we were being accompanied by the piano. Friends were able to hear me way in the back. All is good! What a great day!

Right. I heard of one woman who had gotten annoyed with one man's public really loud cellphone conversation with his wife, so she leaned over next to his cell phone and in her best bedroom voice purred "honey, why don't you hang up and come back to bed" and then walked away.
The guy had a lot of 'splainin' to do.
