Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

My favorite wine region is the one I can drive to.

I live less than a mile from a vineyard. If you get wine from me as a gift guess where it will be coming from.

French wines = over rated.

My favorite wines in the world are from the Jura region of France, so I voted France. Centuries of history, terroir, integrity, and a passion for the vines... hardly qualities I would deem "over-rated" from any region.

these polls are abut as ignorant as you could imagine. why not have someone know knows something about drinks an wine making them up, rather than some random underpaid monkey minion?

We'll pass the feedback on. If you have topic suggestions you can always PM me those too. I don't make the polls so I can't guarantee much beyond making sure your input gets to the right eyeballs, but we do what we can here.

I'm just hanging out, really.

Recently I seem to be buying mostly Northern Rhone and everything from Italy.

The midwest is not mentioned. The best wine I ever tasted was from Iowa.

Your friend is visiting a bowl of Chili? I happen to like Chile wines, chilly white wines, but definitely not Chili ones.
