Excuse me for breathing. But, I live in Central CA, so maybe because of my location, I do receive items as stated. The Only time there was a delay, was the truffle butter.
Since I haven't purchased any wine, I haven't experienced the delays that you're talking about.
And I'm telling you, for the last couple of days they were offering different shipping options. Check with woot!, if you don't believe me. Maybe it was a limited time offer, like anything that you purchase ships for $5.00 total right now. Or possibly, because of the items that haven't sold out yet and weigh a ton and might ship differently, that option isn't available.
Check your facts, before you decide to try to humiliate someone again.

North316 wrote:No offense, but I have no idea where you are getting your information, but most of what you said is completely untrue. Woot! and Home! shipments usually are very quick and often ship out anywhere between 1-5 days after ordering. Wine.Woot! on the hand is not the same case. On rare occasions wine.woot items will ship quickly, but you can normally expect at least a week before the items will even begin shipment, sometimes longer, and the general estimate is that you will receive your shipment 2-3 weeks from the day it was ordered.

I also have no idea where are you seeing an expedited shipping option. I have never seen this on offer and even just went through the checkout process on Woot! and Home! to ensure that I was not losing my mind. No such option was given.

I'm not going to argue, but I wasn't trying to humiliate anyone. I was trying to inform people who might be misled by your post, that in-fact, they might be waiting 2-3 weeks for their items, not 2-3 days. Consider yourself lucky for getting even non-wine items that quickly, because my experience has been that they often take even longer than wine items because they are being shipped directly from the vendors.

I 2nd the fact that it takes FOREVER for WineWoot! items to get here (TX). The bare minimum is a week, but mostly 2 - 3 weeks. I almost forget that I have something ordered before I get the conformation that they sent it. NEVER has it been 2 - 3 days from WineWoot!

Sorry I missed this. I have a jar that was a gift and it is awesome. Put it on a toasted peanut butter sandwich, drop a little in the skillet that is heating up to saute veggies or mix it into meatballs for added flavor. I use it all the time and now I have to drive up to Seattle when I run out.

tracynoreen wrote:Bought this last time, as a Seattle fan of Skillet. It is delicious. However, I was VERY BUMMED to see the expiration date was only 60 days from when the shipment arrived. I had bought several, as gifts and for us to use. But there's no way we'll make it through 3 jars in 60 days, let alone 6 jars. So, this meant that my pals all got bacon spread prizes. But it meant only one jar for our family. I wish the extremely soon expiration date had been mentioned before I ordered.

I think you can reasonably get more than sixty days out of it, particularly if you refrigerate and keep the jars sealed until you want to start using them.

Hey Cesare! How was one to find out that there is discussion about the Plus offerings? That was one of my responses to the beta site- that there was no place for discussion about the Plus offerings. If I hadn't been reading the stuff about bacon I would have not known. I bought Wellington wine on the 29th and couldn't and still can't find a link to discussion. Some help please. Thanks.

While we're on the subject of bacon gloop, here's a link to an excellent recipe for Bacon Mayonnaise.

A BLT made with this mayonnaise will accompany a glass of 2009 InZinerator nicely. Or pretty much a glass of anything, now that I think of it...

Yes, I saw that. But this is the first reference I saw about any discussion on the Plus wine offering. The first post was on the 29th and I would have liked to have known about it then. I guess I'm trying to find out how I would have gone to the link on that first day. If I hadn't been reading the discussion on the bacon stuff today, I would not have known that a discussion link exhisted. I hope that explains my dilema.

A good place to start is to check the World of Woot Wine tab under the Community link. All the various forums are located there including the Plus Deal forums, cyberpub, gatherings, etc.
I also link the Plus Deal forums in my first post every night.

You'll receive this in plenty of time before Father's Day. The items that I purchase from woot!, home! and wine!, all arrive within 2-3 days of purchase.
And even better, woot! now offers 1 and 2 day shipping for a minimal fee. They give you the option when you're checking out. It's great!

Well, It's been almost a week since we've ordered it and I have YET to receive my shipping notices. Have you RECEIVED yours yet?

I had already responded to your post . He raved that it would arrive in 2 days, I just wanted to check in with him.

I will tell you, that I did buy something from the last wootoff (from Woot!), and I do believed that it arrived before the wootoff ended. But WineWoot! - I think they send the list to the company listed, and they do the actual shipments.

just stopped in to see if it was moving yet for anyone, looks like that's a no.

Funny, ordered something from Woot Sellout on the 6th at around 9 am, had it the 7th before noon but this is still waiting.

Sure hope it's worth the wait. Also hoping it gets to me before my husband's birthday on the 20th.

Wow..a lot of people are really anxious to get this spreadable bacon (myself included)..just checked the order date and it was May 31. Heck..it's only been 5 actual shipping days since it was offered and I know, I for one, can't wait for it to get here. Guess it depends on where you live as to how fast you get it. Living on the east coast (bacon spread made on the west coast)...I'm figuring it to probably get here in a couple weeks. Orders still being processed..so no alert of shipping yet!

I got my shipping notification today(6 business days after ordering, and while I understand shipping takes time, it is a little annoying given that Amazon owns Woot.

Doesn't Woot have Amazon fulfillment usage or is that not part of the deal when they got bought out?

If so why is it coming all the way from Cali? Wouldn't it be prudent to split up the fulfillment and have the East Coast have a pallet or fifty of the product ready to be distributed?

I'm not trying to sound like a complainer, it's just I was kind of hoping to have the bacon goodness for next week.

It is my understanding that on Wine.Woot the product is shipped by the manufacturer/seller - not Woot.

I'd guess thats why Wine.Woot processing takes significantly longer than the rest of Woot.

*Still have not received my shipping notification - anxiously awaiting and hoping I can get it before Fathers Day.

Even our non-wine products on Wine.com go through the same order/shipping procedure as wine so it can take 2-3 weeks for you to get your order.

Wine.Woot FAQ: How long is shipment going to take?
You should get your wine in 2-3 weeks, often sooner. We know the wait is kind of a drag. But it's still gonna taste good (maybe even better), and since we leave it to the wineries to get the wine to you, you can count on their experience to send their wine using their expert methodologies.

Got mine today, 2 days earlier than the expected delivery date according to the tracking number. Opened box and the regular is cracked open at the bottom, with bacon spread everywhere (i could tell one was open because I could smell it right away). The other one is fine, but since I don't know how long its been open and not refrigerated I'm tossing the other one. Looks like damage that could not have happened during shipping. What do I do for damaged items on Woot!? I've never had a problem...

Just contact service@woot.com. They are great!

I just wished they would send me mine.. no tracking number or anything.. probably because I complained earlier, they are taking their time… I mean, how can some receive their item, and mine hasn’t even shipped yet..

I actually got a shipping notification back on June 7th. However, tracking tells me it still hasn't moved. At all. It only says "Initiated" and "Shipment information sent to FedEx. Please check back later for shipment status or subscribe for e-mail notifications."

Hopefully it'll actually move soon. Though, it doesn't really matter at this point. I was hoping that just maybe I'd have it for this past weekend. But that clearly didn't happen.
