Poll: During Woot-Offs I:
  • 2.7% - Try to buy as much wine as possible. It’s a great time to stock up! 18
  • 13.4% - Experiment. How will I learn if I just drink what I know? 89
  • 6.2% - Watch for specific vintages I prefer. I don’t really care for new things. 41
  • 20.5% - Keep one eye peeled for the new stuff. I’m here every day so I recognize the reruns easily. 136
  • 57.2% - Mostly sit and cry at how I’m at work and don’t have time to keep up. Boo hoo hoo. 380

Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

That option would be on the woot forum, not the wine.woot forum.

I agree except replace Alabama with Oklahoma. I'm hoping that it will change some time quickly.

Add South Dakota to the list. But I don't hold out much hope for change, so I employ wootleggers!

Remember: it's not Woot who cannot (or will not) ship to your state. It's the wine sellers. If you state doesn't allow direct wine shipment, that's that. If they do, but require registration, you need to contact wine makers you like and urge them to register, and then suggest to Woot that they be invited to sell here.

Woot's a marketing device; winemakers have to handle their own licensing and distribution agreements, state by state, and then - and this is crucial - they need to keep their data up to date - their lists of "ship to" states - when they post deals here.

Um.....I thought Kansas changed that law over a year ago? Pretty sure if the winery gets a Kansas license you can order. Check the list of ship to states for each offering.

Also, the answer to tis question would get me permanently banned and remanded to a mental health facility. Let's just say the woot monkeys dread the phrase "come my pretties, tis a wootoff"
