Just a quick note, this is not actually a Port wine. In order to be a considered a true Port, grapes must be harvested in the Douro Valley in Portugal

Just a quick note, it tastes like awesomesauce either way.

I was hesitantly going through my second bottle of this--nearly finished with my two big bottles of the Petit Syrah. I'm getting this again because MIL absolutely adored the chocolate, and I'm more than happy to lay claim to the vino :D

Awesome. Much appreciated. Looks like some good info. I'll be reading through the whole thread when I get home from work.

How long will this last once opened? How should it be stored once open?

I open a bottle and pour a few small glasses, put it in the wet bar cabinet (center of house) and it lasts for a month. Nose fades a little, but palate remains. GREAT little wine!

Probably not yet...

How long is shipment going to take?
You should get your wine in 2-3 weeks, often sooner. We know the wait is kind of a drag. But it’s still gonna taste good (maybe even better), and since we leave it to the wineries to get the wine to you, you can count on their experience to send their wine using their expert methodologies.

Thanks for the response TT. I went and looked at the last time it was offered and it looks like delivery took closer to 3 weeks.

Do all Pedroncelli offers ship on the long end of the shipping time frame? I have 3 orders of their wines. Pretty much everything else has shipped already.

Thanks?

Showed up today all good. Tasted one now and it will be had tonight.

Arrived yesterday to the office and picked up this morning. Had to crack open a bottle to try and I have to say it is very good!

I don't like a dessert wine or anything overly sweet. My spouse doesn't generally like any port (it is the brandy he doesn't like). We both very much enjoyed this port though.

WineDavid when will this be offered again? Wish I'd have bought more!

Add another person who doesn't like dessert wine, but really likes this port. Glad I ordered it! Well worth the gamble of purchasing based on reports alone.

This was quite good. A bit sweeter than I expected, but that's not a bad thing. This and the chocolate drops that came with are very good.

Had a bottle of this "port" this past weekend with the in-laws. FIL is a huge port fan. He was very surprised and enjoyed greatly. He admonished me for only ordering one set. Look forward to more offerings. Thank you for putting me in the good graces of my in-laws!
