Thinking of doing a wine trip to Wash State this fall...any suggestions on "must visit" vineyards and/or tasting rooms? We did Paso Robles last year and Willamette the year prior and couldn't have been happier with both. Now it's time for us to see what Washington is made of! Thanks in advance!
That's a great question! There are lots of great "must visits" here in Washington. There are arguably at least 4+ major wine areas you could visit, none of which could be done in the same day. Do you know where you're planning to go? Walla Walla? Yakima Valley? Lake Chelan? Woodinville? If you email me at wine@gardvintners.com with a little more info and what type of wines you're interested in, I'd be happy to give a few suggestions.

alarbus wrote:I sent an email to the Service address, but perhaps Gardwine has an answer. I was able to order wine before and have it sent to Vermont, but when trying to order the case from Gard, Vermont is not in the drop down for the states.
Is there a problem with the form, or is it something else?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, the trouble with Vermont is that, from what we know, FedEx is the only shipper allowed to ship wine there. We only use UPS, therefore had to eliminate Vermont from the list. Sorry about that!

Yes, Gard is doing the shipping directly from Washington on this one. FedEx isn't a viable shipping option for us unfortunately, which is why we use UPS - thus, no Vermont shipments.

I don't even get off early enough to make a UPS pickup...
Can you email me at wine@gardvintners.com and we'll see if we can make this work for you?

I don't know if you'll see many direct similarities, but I have a feeling if you liked that Chardonnay, you'll definitely like our Freyja. Also, at our tasting rooms in Woodinville & Ellensburg we get a lot of comments from "reds only" folks that they are surprised to love our Dry Riesling!

PS - Congrats to Gard Vintners for what in all likelihood will be a sellout on your first wine.woot appearance!!
Your participation is an exemplary example of what makes wine.woot one of the best places to buy wine on the Internet, and how a winery can be successful selling wine on the wine.wouoot! Now I just hope this is going to be good wine
Thank you and let us know what you think. Enjoy.
