True, however 5 still remain and periodically they will need to be tested.
After all I did purchase with the intent to actually drink them.

I'm curious why you picked this particular wine/post (07 Victory) to suggest it was wine "infanticide" and why not several other wines a few posts up:

2007 Jean Edwards Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard

2007 Kent Rasmussen Petite Sirah Esoterica Chavez-Leeds Vineyard

2008 Ty Caton CS

I'm honestly not questioning your assessment of infanticide I'm just trying to learn why one is and one is not.

Loved it. I thought it was pretty good right out of the bottle, except the tannin was pretty solid still. Into the decanter for about 1-1.5 hours before we finished the Wellington and started in on it. Took another couple hours to go through it. Drinking beautifully, imo, although I don't know the heights the aged PS can go.

Tonight I'm drinking, not tasting.
Consuming on the warmer side of ideal, typical spicy nose, on entry fruit is there, tannins too on finish, pretty simple, lower AbV @ 13.9 so no burn, but there is something just off in the finish. Can't place it, yet (now), perhaps tomorrow earlier on, while I can still think about it.
It drinks better than the $10 I paid for it, but not by much.
bsevern summed it up well "it's ok but far from my favorite Zin. "

Not really a Turley product, as they just purchased Karly to access grapes and the tasting room, and are blowing this and other Karly product out.

Tonight, for Rosh Hashannah we had half a bottle of 2012 Jana Rose followed by 1999 Williams-Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The latter is quite nice, although not sure why they get such a premium. It is more Burgundian in style than most CA Pinots, but not exactly 1er or Grand Cru level. Excellent way to toast the universe's birthday!

I, too, bought this vertical when we were on the last RPM tour, but have not opened it yet. Please report back with your assessment of how it is drinking now (i.e. past its' prime, will not improve, etc.) Thanks.

Having consumed my entire vertical I can say that it is not past it's prime. I found that several bottles were extremely reductive and needed over an hour to open up. The best bottle I almost poured down the drain as flawed. Patience will be rewarded by floral and licorice notes. I really enjoyed these.

So... Which is more of a change?

A) changing threads as we always have done just before 100 pages (or weekly for the pub)

B) changing our changing to not changing?

I have been wondering lately if we might want to make the new pub frequency monthly. We just do not have big pubs any more.
